Massive Open Online Course: 22nd January to 3rd March 2018
This six week MOOC shall commence from 22nd Jan 2018 and last for a duration of six weeks, which includes one week for customer validation related exercises. The course shall hence end on 3rd Mar 2018.
Leveraging on the existing “DO Your Venture” MOOC developed by NSRCEL-IIMB, we will customize the content specifically for women entrepreneurs by addressing challenges specific to them.
Participation of women in entrepreneurship and leadership positions in business remains low on account of many socially and psychologically ingrained barriers. We hence plan to include specific sociological and psychological research-based inputs to help women overcome hurdles and lead their ventures successfully. Eminent professors from IIMB are keen to contribute their insights on this and we are currently exploring a methodology of delivering such inputs to women via additional sessions in MOOC, workshops and other exercises.
Bootcamp at satellite centres: 2nd April to 12th April 2018
A bootcamp for around 300 participants for 10 days at respective partner/satellite centres is organised from 2nd – 12th April 2018.
The bootcamp shall include morning classroom sessions and afternoons can be used either for developing the business idea or developing a minimum viable product or for mentoring. Here, the philosophy of 'Lean Startup Method' would be the driving force behind developing the idea. Each participant will attempt to develop a robust ‘problem-solution’ fit, which is to find out whether the problem their venture would attempt to solve is large enough to establish a successful venture. Depending on the feedback from the customers, the participants may have to pivot in order to establish a better fit. The evolution of the business idea of each participant would also depend on the feedback they receive from their mentors. While the participants are on campus, pre-dinner talks would be organized with students at IIMB, successful women entrepreneurs, angel investors, VCs etc. which also double up as networking platform for the participants.
Bootcamp @ IIMB: 30th April to 10th May 2018
The final residential bootcamp for 100 shortlisted ideas will be organized by NSRCEL at IIMB. This will include structured guidance and mentoring support along with few classroom sessions. On the final day of this bootcamp, women entrepreneurs shall pitch their ideas to the committee.
Incubation: 1st June 2018 onwards
The top 100 women entrepreneurs who are selected will be offered a mentoring and incubation facility for 12 months at NSRCEL-IIMB or one of the partner/satellite centres based on their location. They shall also receive a nominal prototyping grant and monthly fellowship for a year to support their ventures.
