Senior Program Manager

Karnataka Rural Women Entrepreneurship 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the program to build capabilities of rural women entrepreneurs from across Karnataka to empower them to scale up their businesses in an accelerated manner.  
  • Build a replicable model of the program that can be administered across the country to scale up rural women entrepreneurship.  
  • Identify, and engage ecosystem partners to leverage their strengths, mutually explore synergies and enhance program value.  
  • Oversee and manage the team to ensure a smooth workflow, mitigate risks, deliver the objectives, and guide the team through the uncertainties and challenges.  
  • Engage the government stakeholders / funders to build a long-term relationship and ensure a smooth working relationship.  
  • Guide and consult with the entrepreneurs to help them explore the better opportunities and navigate them through their weaknesses and scopes of scaling up.  
  • Oversee program reporting to stakeholders and organizational authorities towards deliverables and budgets.    
  • Support developing capacity building mechanisms for the women entrepreneurs and the ventures that can deliver the clearly defined goals and be sustainable over time.  
  • Develop regular communication, reporting cadence towards both internal and external stakeholders, including government and deliver the reporting periodically in formats as required.  
  • Identify and leverage multiple and alternate funding sources and provide them with market access, funding access and backward & forward integration opportunities  
  • Support in creating processes, document best practices and success stories, monitor impact metrics and growth, generate reports to further improve the program.  
  • Bring newer concepts, ideas, global best practices, and knowledge to the table to develop a better program design / architecture for the target beneficiaries.  
  • Work with the internal cross-functional teams to synergize efforts towards entrepreneurial growth and become champions of NSRCEL. 

What you will be bringing to the table

  • Have an experiment-led, learning mindset, ready to explore to build goal oriented project 

  • Collaborative self-starter with the ability to make connections quickly, build trust and work as a team player and constantly adapt to the changing scenarios 

  • Ability to flex continuously between the strategic and tactical or conceptualising and execution 

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with fluency in Kannada, English, Hindi. 

  • Ability to interact in Uttar Kannada, Marathi or Telegu is an added advantage. 

  • Have a Post Graduate degree from a reputed institution with overall experience of 9+ years in the relevant field 

  • Have worked in rural setting in likes of SHGs, non-profit organizations, or social sector or livelihood 

  • Have on-site / field experience across districts of Karnataka and with government agencies 

  • Think like an integrated professional with customer-first mindset: you have a knack for spotting opportunities and anticipating operational issues

  • Thrive amid complexity in a continuously evolving environment with uncertainties  

  • Have a positive attitude, a detail orientation and maturity to interact with the senior leadership 

  • Willing to travel extensively in remote parts of Karnataka 

Head

Insights & Analysis  

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be the strategic leader to design and roll-out our research and analysis capability. We believe data-driven insights and research will be the        foundation of NSRCEL’s programs and entrepreneurial interventions. This position will help conceptualize and build out this capability.

  • Design and implement data collection and analysis for entrepreneurship programs
  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks and feedback loops for program impact analysis
  • Publish thought leadership, case studies, position papers on NSRCEL founders, ventures and program experiences
  • Work with IIMB faculty and across entrepreneurial ecosystem on research and case writing
  • Build and own the NSRCEL knowledge hub[SJ1] for entrepreneurial learning
  • Work with the Corporate communication team to position NSRCEL as a thought leader in the ecosystem

What you will be bringing to the table

Program Manager

Entrepreneurship Programs

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program Design and Operations:
  • Enhance the incubator program design, and resources to meet the evolving needs of startups. 
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with industry experts, mentors, and service providers to deliver value-added support to startups. 
  • Implement efficient program operations, including selection, onboarding, resource allocation, and support services for participating startups.
  •  Program Management: 
  • Develop and execute the overall program strategy. 
  • Oversee the end-to-end program lifecycle, including program designing, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, and stakeholder management. 
  • Define program milestones, deliverables, and success criteria, and ensure they are met within specified timelines and budgets. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth program operations. 
  • Continuously monitor program performance and make data-driven recommendations for program improvement. 
  • Oversee the startup selection process, including outreach, sourcing and evaluating potential startups for admission into the respective program. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, facilitators, vendors, industry experts and mentors 
  • Team Leadership: 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of program coordinators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. 
  • Encourage professional development and identify training opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge. 
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Fundraising for the Launchpad and Campus Founders track. 
  • Identify org wide priorities and work on creating solutions for them.

REQUIREMENTS

    • An MBA, CA or post-graduate from a Tier 1 institution is preferred 
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, startup ecosystem, or related fields. 
    • Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem 
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders 
    • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams 
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for supporting early-stage startups and fostering innovation 
    • High ownership and high bias to action

Program Intern

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This internship is for 6 months.

  • Work in coordination with the Program Manager to execute daily program responsibilities

  • Support internal team and partners to successfully complete all program milestones

  • Communicate with all stakeholders of the program to build a sustainable relationship

  • Maintain and track program data

  • Share reports and analysis of data collected as part of the program

  • Always ensure adherence to NSRCEL guidelines while communicating with external partners

What you will be bringing to the table

    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Understanding of startup ecosystem is preferred 
    • Positive attitude, detail-oriented and maturity to interact with the senior leadership
    • Ability to multitask and take ownership of tasks.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Program Associate

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Program Manager to execute daily program responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate with entrepreneurs, mentors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information exchange
  • Support the onboarding process for new ventures, including assisting with paperwork, orientation, and introduction to program resources
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of participating startups, track key performance metrics, and prepare reports for the program
  • Provide administrative support to the program, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing necessary documentation
  • Conduct research and gather relevant information on industry trends, market opportunities, and best practices to support program development
  • Collaborate with team members to organise events, workshops, and networking sessions for startup founders.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in the startup ecosystem and the development sector to provide informed assistance to program participants

    What you will be bringing to the table

      • A master’s degree in management from a reputed institute 
      • 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in a startup environment.
      • Proven experience in effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
      • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to take ownership, manage multiple tasks and priorities.
      • Strong program execution discipline
      • Positive attitude, detail-oriented and maturity to interact with the senior leadership 
      • Self-starter with a high level of motivation and the ability to work independently.
