Incubatee Jyothirmayi, CEO of Fabric Monde takes herself to a stellar stratum by having been collaborated with Sachin Tendulkar’s clothing line, TrueBlue to launch 20,000 shirts in more than fifty stores across India. Fabric Monde has become a sourcing hub for big names like TrueBlue who are venturing into Sustainable Fashion, with a notion to help brands launch environmentally safe clothing ranges.
Fabric Monde, a team of vibrant 20 year olds headed by Jyothirmayi fabricated this Bangalore based start-up to solve the persistent problem of the age-old textile industry of sourcing high grade fabrics. Having built a robust traceable supply chain, Fabric Monde seamlessly manages the delivery of bulk volumes in shorter turn-around-time, eventually positioning itself as a one-stop shop for fabric needs. Started as hopeful incubatee at NSRCEL, Jyothi now stands as the proud prime mover of the country’s leading sourcing partners for fashion brands.
TrueBlue shook hands with Fabric Monde and created “Handcrafted range” as an attempt to revive the dying spirit of authentic Indian textiles that has always been a mark of prestige and pride. Through this collection, TrueBlue aspires to pay a tribute to the hands of history by providing opportunities to skilled artisans involved in such crafts.
The campaign involves Sachin Tendulkar wearing a shirt made by a small-scale producer Nutan, who has been practicing the art form of DABU print for nearly three generations in a village of Rajasthan called Bagru. Every garment from the collection is embroidered with a hand-craft element and untold stories, which can be conveyed to the consumers on the scanning of the attached tag. A tale woven art, it is!
CEO Jyothi says, “Collaborating with Sachin’s Brand TrueBlue and winning their trust on Quality has been a huge milestone for us in terms of learning. Many more celebrities are joining hands for us to expand our retail presence from 50+ stores across India to 500 points of sale in the next 2 years. It will be an exciting journey to work with these stars to grow our small producers’ platform for textiles.”
