Impact Orbit Snapshot 2020-2022 highlights the Impact Orbit at NSRCEL, the largest social impact incubator in India. This program is at the forefront of catalysing change among social ventures either for-profit or non-profit (Section 8) who are committed to positively impacting the planet & its people. There are two verticals under Impact Orbit, Tech-enabled Social Innovations and Circular Economy and Climate Tech. Since 2017, over 100 ventures have been incubated as a part of Impact Orbit including both non-profit and for-profit innovations across the sectors like Ed-Tech, Rural Livelihoods, Circular Economy, Climate and Agri-Tech. The programs expanded from one annual cohort to four in 2022 with entrepreneurs from across the country. As the largest social incubator by volume of enterprises, NSRCEL believes it is uniquely positioned to enable impact-driven for-profit and non-profit organizations via clarity in value proposition and social business models, funding readiness and alternative sources of capital, effective impact measurement and reporting capabilities and access to networks including government stakeholders and industry service providers.

This report discusses the growth of Impact Orbit from the beginning and the initiatives taken in collaboration with different partner organizations. You can also find out some of the key achievements which include year-on-year venture growth, the incubation of some social startups in education and livelihoods, with over 12,000 jobs created and ₹11.4+ crores of grants disbursed. It also provides NSRCEL Impact Orbit’s future roadmap to support 300 ventures by 2025.
